Description
This course is a survey in African-American literature that emphasizes both teh formal features and the socio-historical context of works produced by black writers throughout American history. Writers studied will include Wheatly, DuBois, Hurston, Dunbar, Hughes, Harden, McKay, Wright, Ellison, Baraka, Walker, and Baldwin, among others.
