This course introduces the social sciences through a study of the emergence of diverse human societies, culture, and institutions over time. Using a multicultural, global perspective, students explore the foundations of the human experience through knowledge, concepts, and skills from the disciplines of history, sociology, geography, political science, and anthropology.
