This UNCF Emergency Student Aid Program is being provided to students who are experiencing a hardship (i.e. housing, food insecurity, technology, health related, transportation, travel, etc.) and need emergency financial assistance. Program Guidelines includes:

 

a.       Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0,

b.     The maximum award per student can be any domination up to $1,000, and grants will be awarded on a first come, first served basis until funding runs out,

c.      The student must be enrolled full-time at Allen University,

d.      Last application Deadline Monday, March 15, 2021 or when funds runs out, and

e.      Applications will not be reviewed unless supporting document(s) is submitted.

 

 

 

ReturnSafe

Dear Allen University community,

 

We are pleased to announce that we have chosen ReturnSafe as our partner to keep you and the Allen University community safe as we get through the Covid-19 pandemic together. The ReturnSafe app is a user-friendly and efficient alternative to paper screening surveys, and provides contact tracing, enabling us to notify you if you come into contact with a suspected Covid-19 case. This will allow us to prevent and quickly contain outbreaks to keep our community safe and maintain continuity.

 

Please follow these simple steps to use the ReturnSafe app:

 

  1. Android users:
  1. iPhone users:
    • Visit https://tinyurl.com/ReturnSafeiPhone in your iPhone browser, and click Install.
    • Once ReturnSafe is installed, tap Settings > General > Profiles or Profiles & Device Management.
    • Under the "Enterprise App" heading, you see a profile for Mutual Mobile.  Tap Mutual Mobile and then Trust Mutual Mobile. 
    • Proceed to step 2.

 

  1. Open the app and enter the following Code: allenuniversity
  2. Sign in with your Name, Phone Number and Allen University Email address
  3. Each day you are scheduled to come to campus, complete the short screening survey before you leave your home (1-2 minutes).  You will receive guidance on whether to come to campus.  Please present your screening result at the designated check-in area when you arrive on campus.

 

To log contacts for contact tracing:

 

  • When you have an in-person meeting on campus, please use the ReturnSafe LogBook within the mobile app to log the contact - you will be asked to enter the name and email of the person(s) you met with.
  • In addition, ReturnSafe will log contacts automatically via Bluetooth. Please open your app whenever possible when you are in close contact with others to maximize the effectiveness of Bluetooth contact logging.

Allen University is proud to announce that we are partnering with ECMC’s Project Success Emergency Aid Program.

The Emergency Aid Program is designed to support students’ persistence toward degree completion by removing unforeseen financial obstacles from their path.  There are no fees charged to the institution for this program.  To complete an application, please use the online portal provided by ECMC which is below.

National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC)

Scholarship Deadline: June 1st (Fall semester)

                                    December 1st (Spring semester)

 

NAWIC’s Scholarship Program is designed to promote interest in the construction industry by assisting S.C. residents to achieve a higher level of education in the industry or a field directly related to it. The scholarship program shall be supported entirely through voluntary contributions and/or funds raised by the members of the Columbia Chapter #113.

The Hall of Fame General Scholarship Application

The Hall of Fame is committed to the educational growth and development of African American undergraduate and graduate students attending institutions of higher learning, with preference given to those attending HBCUs. Through gifts provided by our corporate sponsors, the Hall of Fame is able to provide scholarships to deserving students.

A Hall of Fame Scholarship is available to undergraduate/graduate students who maintain full time status at an accredited HBCU.  Applicants must meet all of the eligibility requirements and deadlines to qualify. Scholarship awards will be applied toward tuition, room, board and books.  Current scholarship recipients must re-apply each year.

SRNS Internship Program Information
 
Below is information regarding the upcoming summer internship program to share with friends, family or acquaintances who may be interested. The timeline for posting is listed below:
  • Engineering internships for SRNS (November – January)
  • Non-Engineering internships for SRNS (February – April)

The requirements for any future applicants for the SRNS internship program are as follows:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be a “full-time” student (12 credit hours scheduled)
  • Must have completed at least one year of college
  • Must possess a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5
  • Must upload their most recent transcript for GPA verification
  • Must be able to successfully complete General Employee Training
  • Must be able to successfully complete our background check process
