2024-2025 United Health Foundation Diversity in Health Care Scholarship: Undergraduate
Undergraduate scholars admitted to the program who maintain eligibility will be awarded for up to two years for a total of $10,000, or $5,000/year. The United Health Foundation Diversity in Health Care Scholarship funds 30 high-achieving students of color committed to a clinical professional career. The program will provide renewable merit-based scholarships of up to $5,000 per year, wrap-around scholar support services, and exam/licensure prep and registration fee stipends.

Eligible students must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
- Identify as an underrepresented minority student, specifically an African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American/Alaska Native or Asian/Pacific Islander student.
- Be enrolled full-time at an accredited, U.S.-based four-year institution, with preference given to students attending a public or private Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
- Pursuing degrees (bachelors) that will lead to careers as clinical professionals that may include: Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Nurse, Pharmacist, Dentist, Social Worker, Addiction Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, or related clinical profession.
- Classified as a junior at the time of awarding, (graduation date December 2025 or spring 2026).
- Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

The United Health Foundation Diversity in Health Care Scholarship funds 30 high-achieving students of color committed to a clinical professional career. The program will provide renewable merit-based scholarships of up to $5,000 per year, wrap-around scholar support services, and exam/licensure prep and registration fee stipends.

Eligible students must:

- Pursuing degrees (masters, doctorate) that will lead to careers as clinical professionals that may include: Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Nurse, Pharmacist, Dentist, Social Worker, Addiction Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, or related clinical profession
- Classifies as a first-year graduate student and has at least two years of study before their anticipated degree completion date
- Be enrolled full-time at an accredited, U.S.-based four-year institution, with preference given to students attending or having graduated from a public or private Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
- Proof of an undergraduate cumulative GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Identifies as Black/African American, Hispanic/ Latino, Native American/ Alaska Native, or Asian or is focused on the health of these communities or other underrepresented racial/ethnic groups
2024-2025 UNCF Toyota Scholars Program
The UNCF Toyota Scholars Program is a professional development initiative for HBCU students. It offers need and merit-based scholarships, career-readiness training, summer internship opportunities and other tools for success. UNCF Toyota Scholars supports college success and completion for high-achieving HBCU students, while preparing scholars for career opportunities at Toyota. Students can apply for the UNCF Toyota Scholarship, Internship, or both! The scholarship offers a needs-based award of $5,000, and the internship offers a merit-based award of $7,500 in addition to the internship assignment.

Eligible students must:
- Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Be an underrepresented minority student classified as a sophomore or junior for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Be enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year public or private historically Black college or university (HBCU).
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
- Have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by your college or university. (This doesn’t apply for the internship application)
- Majoring in one of the following acceptable majors: Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Business Communications, Chemical Engineering, Cloud Computing, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Data Mining and Analytics, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Science(s), Finance, Human Resources, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
Coming Soon: 2024-2025 Lincoln Financial Scholars Program
The Lincoln Financial Scholars program will provide students with the skills and knowledge to support the transition from college to career. Scholars will be awarded $3,000 and will receive training in key areas through live webinars and online management system.
Application open date: 7/15/2024
Eligible students will have:
- Minimum 2.7 cumulative; 3.0 in major
- HBCU Student
- Classified as College Junior or College Senior for the 2024- 2025 academic year
- All majors are welcome to apply. Applicants with the following majors will receive preference; Business, Communications, Cyber Security, Finance, Accounting, Information Management Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, Insurance, Marketing, Operations Management, Risk Management, Software Engineering and Computer Science.
